Entry-level Recruiter Intern Removing The Stigma (RTS) is looking for a hardworking, motivated, and results-oriented individual to add to our team as a Recruiter. The primary purpose of a Recruiter is to guide candidate placement for RTS. This part-time, seasonal position requires strong attention to detail, sound decision-making, and strong interpersonal skills. This is an exciting role that is a perfect position for a current college student or a recent college graduate looking to start a career in recruiting, gaining experience, and supporting the efforts of a start-up nonprofit organization. About Removing The Stigma Since the official inception of Removing the Stigma (RTS) in 2013, it has taken small but powerful steps to bring a voice to stigma, mental illness, and suicide by engaging the community and being a resource for education, advocacy, and peer support. It is RTS’s vision that all people from every walk of life experience and realize the hope of being mentally and emotionally well. Duties & Responsibilities Conduct weekly phone calls to candidates in order to generate an active pipeline Recruit and place candidates with a sense of urgency Actively recruit, Interview, screen, and assess candidates to determine skill set and potential fit for positions Initiate/conduct and maximize searches using a variety of social media and networking Communicate regularly with potential candidates, applicants, and the hiring manager to inform them of the process and status Proactively recruit by utilizing job fairs, email campaigns, and job boards in order to maintain "on-deck" candidates Utilize staffing software and/or MS Excel to manage and track the status of candidates Performs other related duties & responsibilities as assigned Education & Experience Working toward or having a 2 -year Associate Degree in Business or Human Resources Experience with interviewing Basic understanding of basic human resources functions surrounding interviewing, hiring, terminating, compensation guidelines, workers' compensation, and unemployment Knowledge of the nonprofit industry is preferred but not required Required Skills MS Office skills including Word and Excel Google Workspace Strong verbal and written communication skills Good customer service skills Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of productivity

Youth Awareness and Prevention Program Assistant Removing the Stigma (RTS) is looking for a hardworking, motivated, results-orientated, quick learner, and team player individual to add to our team as a Program Prevention Assistant to help with the launch of our new program, Youth Life Cleve . This position requires organizational collaboration, projects and event preparations and data entry, strong attention to detail, sound judgment, leadership skills and interpersonal relation skills. About Removing The Stigma The mission of Removing The Stigma is to educate, empower, and offer hope to individuals while removing the stigma associated with mental illness and suicide, with the vision to bring mental and emotional wellness to the communities we serve. About Youth Life Cleve The purpose of the Youth Live Cle (YLC) Program is to change the mindset around how suicide and mental illness is interpreted and believed by African American youth and their parents or trusted adults. It addresses the generations of cultural stigmatized beliefs within communities which has caused mental illness and suicide to be stigmatized. The program is designed to empower youth to express their feelings and personal opinions openly, honestly, in a safe space without fear of judgment or retaliation, creating a healthy atmosphere, which helps to reduce stigma, while encouraging youth to seek help. Responsibilities and Duties: Prepare program event calendar Process and maintain databases related to donor, fundraising, etc Maintain client and volunteer databases Assist with the creation of promotional materials, mailing, and website content update Ensure that organization stay within in budget for various projects Ensure weekly meeting schedules, correspondence with parties involved with program and other duties as required Constantly promoting YLC and its mission on various social media platforms May require some in-state travel Other duties which may arise in as the program grows Educational Qualifications High School diploma, or associate degree Basic understanding of mental health and suicide prevention awareness is preferred but not required Knowledge of the nonprofit industry is preferred but not required Required Skills Must be proficient in MS office including word, excel, and One Note Google workspace Strong verbal and written communication skills Great team player Experience working with at risk youth Ability to work independently and with a team Maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and productivity Job Type: Part-Time Benefits: The opportunity to engage in ongoing professional development of the mission and vision of the organization. Virtual Opportunity
This is currently a virtual position, but over time may become both virtually and in-person. Community Outreach volunteers can serve using skills that best fit their knowledge and skills, or they can challenge themselves to learn more as they move throughout the community. The volunteer will work closely with the Community Outreach Committee on various fundraising projects, community outreach projects, and annual events. Currently, we are in the process of planning our May 2022 Mental Health Awareness Month event and establishing our 2022 calendar.

We need individuals who are ready to volunteer and see new things happen in this grassroots organization. Office Assistant volunteers will be responsible for the office structure. The position includes (but is not limited to) inventory of office supplies, placing orders, answering the phone, keeping track of upcoming appointments, and copying, corresponding letters, memos, and emails. The key roles of this position are communication, accuracy, and some familiarity with Microsoft Word. This is also a role with a great opportunity to learn and group in your administrative skills. We adhere to all CDC guidelines regarding COVID. Mask wearing is not optional when working on-site.
