Impact of The Role Dev Launchers is on a mission to help people from diverse backgrounds transition into a technical career. As the Frontend Developer Coach, you will play a critical role in training developers and increasing productivity. What You Will Do Collaborate with tech leads to onboard new developers Design training programs in React, Git, design patterns etc. Define KPIs to measure development velocity and code quality Standardize the development process and feedback loop Identify frictions and tools to improve developer experience Who You are Required skills: Few years of frontend development experience Excellent communicator Expert in front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, React and NextJS Curious to identify new problems and propose solutions Experience with Agile development methodology Bonus skills: Familiar with process improvement Experience in coaching, mentoring or management What You Will Learn Build an organization where making a profit is not the main driver Collaborate with people around the world About The Organization Dev Launchers is an international nonprofit organization that prepares people from diverse backgrounds to tackle future-proof careers. About The Project Our goal is to design a platform that brings together all the different tools necessary to deliver an engaging, memorable, unique, educational experience. These tools will be geared towards technology and programming content. In addition, this project aims to provide a place for junior developers/budding designers and UI/UX enthusiasts to explore, implement, and share their knowledge with the platform community. Further, in order to achieve our primary goals, we believe that the platform should include various gamification aspects, achievements, and a sense of progression and accomplishments. About The Role Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers. Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps. Designing graphic user interface elements. Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how product features look and function. Create style standards on fonts, colors, images, graphics, and overall site look and feel. Create original graphic designs. Conduct research on user experience and target audience. Proficient with UI/UX tools e.g. Figma Have a few years of experience. Have worked on a few projects. Understand the different components that complete a product/project in your domain. Bring vigor, passion, motivation and energy. Eager to push the boundaries of your knowledge and complete complex tasks. Able to produce faster and with less guidance than a Junior role, but require more direction and input on tasks than a Senior role. Are comfortable with the tools of your craft. Able to make low-mid level architecture/design decisions without guidance. Can commit 5-10+ hours/week. About The Project The Community Development team is building various solutions that will provide more value to members of the Dev Launchers community, such as a community hub for announcements, a job board and a mentor mentee platform. About The Role We are looking for a web developer who is willing and eager to learn various web technologies mainly in the field of React while working within a team of ambitious developers!
