As the VPMMA Community Outreach and Brand Ambassador, you will be instrumental in expanding the reach and impact of the Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA). Your role includes actively promoting VPMMA's mission and programs, engaging with communities, and representing the organization as a passionate and knowledgeable advocate. You will be crucial in raising awareness, building partnerships, and fostering a supportive network to advance service members, veterans, and military spouses' careers in project management. Key Responsibilities: Actively promote VPMMA's mission, programs, and initiatives to diverse communities through various outreach channels such as social media, forums, online groups, and community events. Engage with potential members, partners, and stakeholders to educate them about the benefits of VPMMA and encourage their involvement. Represent VPMMA as a passionate and knowledgeable advocate at community events, workshops, conferences, and other networking opportunities. Develop and implement creative strategies to expand VPMMA's reach by identifying target audiences and utilizing appropriate communication platforms. Collaborate with the Marketing team to create compelling content, including blog articles, social media posts, and videos, to effectively communicate VPMMA's value proposition. Identify and build strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations, veteran service groups, military installations, and community stakeholders to foster collaboration and support in advancing veterans' careers. Engage with VPMMA's community members, responding to inquiries, providing support, and encouraging active participation in programs and activities. Continuously monitor and evaluate the impact of community outreach efforts, adjusting strategies and tactics as needed to maximize effectiveness. Report on community outreach activities, milestones, and successes to the Volunteer Coordinator and the Community Management team. Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with diverse audiences both in-person and online. Strong passion for supporting and advancing veterans' careers in project management. Enthusiasm and advocacy skills to effectively promote VPMMA's mission and programs to internal and external stakeholders. Familiarity with social media platforms, online communities, and digital communication strategies. Strong networking capabilities and ability to build and maintain relationships with individuals, organizations, and community leaders. Creativity and innovative thinking to develop effective outreach strategies and initiatives. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team. Position Type: Volunteer Location: Remote, with occasional opportunities for in-person community outreach based on individual availability and opportunities in local communities. Commitment: 5-10 hours per week, but we appreciate any support you can provide.
