SCORE is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that helps small businesses succeed through free one-on-one mentoring and small group educational sessions. By working with SCORE you immediately benefit your community by improving your local economy through small business success. We are looking for a volunteer Chapter Executive Secretary to ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our chapter. Most of the volunteer work can be completed remotely and at your convenience. Duties of the Executive Secretary include: Serve on the Executive Committee (EC), helping provide direction for the chapter Create EC meeting agenda and maintain minutes Manage chapter meetings including invitations and attendance Assist with interviewing and onboarding new members Provide support to our members Assist in the matching of clients with volunteer mentors Manage google drive materials and membership Create and distribute monthly reports Skills required: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously Technical skills should include: Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Google Drive and Gmail. We are searching for an engaged and motivated individual to serve as our organization’s Event Chair to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of our chapter’s hosted/co-hosted events, partner events, and client/volunteer appreciation and/or networking events. This position is responsible for every part of hosted/co-hosted event and a portion of partner event preparations, from choosing venues, approving menus, enabling digital event registration and marketing, event sponsors, marshalling external and internal resources, and evaluating success afterward. The Event Chair will be a member of the chapter’s leadership team. We are looking for a volunteer Vice Chairperson for the SE Wisconsin Chapter, the national 2024 Chapter of The Year. The Chapter Vice Chairperson works collaboratively with the Chapter Chair, and each are responsible for specific areas of responsibility to ensure smooth operations and expected impacts. The Chapter Vice Chair is responsible for working with and oversight of multiple chapter Committee Chairs including but not limited to: education, membership, marketing, outreach, member development and associated key performance measures. Much of the Chapter Vice Chair work can be completed remotely and at your convenience. Estimated time commitment is 10-15 hours per week.
