About Carboncopies At the Carboncopies Foundation, we believe that the possibilities and opportunities enabled by Whole Brain Emulation (WBE) represent the most promising technological path to overcoming our fundamental limitations as a species. To achieve WBE, essential advances are needed in neurobiology, neurophysiology, brain imaging, micro- and nanoscale technologies, computational neuroscience, computing hardware, and even the philosophy of mind. We provide peer networks and project opportunities to scientists working on challenges critical to whole brain emulation and recognize that there is a long road ahead of us. Responsibilities We are looking for additional team members to join our Communications department. The communications department works on tasks related to communicating the work of other departments and projects as well as running its own projects and communication campaigns related to Whole Brain Emulation. We need team members who want to help with tasks related to writing content to increase public awareness about WBE, recording 1-minute ad voiceovers, cleaning up transcriptions and generating communication materials. Qualifications The following qualifications and/or experience aren’t required but would be helpful for you in taking on this role: Fascination and active interest in neuroscience, biotechnology, artificial intelligence or other relevant emerging fields Brand Development and Messaging Marketing/Communications (Mar/Com) Social Media/Blogging Technical Writing Copywriting Public Relations In addition, these are some interpersonal skills we’re looking for: Critical Thinking Problem Solving Reading Comprehension Verbal/Written Communication Time commitment 3 hours / week. Responsibilities The Vulkan developer will help with designing and writing a high-performance real-time rendering system designed to work on headless servers. Your tasks will include: Implementing real-time path tracing Initializing Vulkan Creating a rendering loop Designing the rendering pipeline Regular attendance of meetings Collaboration with other team members Updating documentation Creating System Architecture/Block Diagrams Qualifications The following qualifications and/or experience aren’t required but would be helpful for you in taking on this role: Vulkan API programming experience C++ experience Knowledge of Git source control Video game and/or video game engine development Time commitment 10 hours/week Contacts Questions about the recruiting process: recruiting@carboncopies.org

Responsibilities The purpose of this role is to aid in writing the storyline for a video game we are developing. Your tasks will include: Story development and feedback Collaborating with other team members Design, block out, and implement 3D environments Create 2D/3D concept art Attending regular meetings 1-2 times per week Qualification The following qualifications and/or experience aren’t required but would be helpful for you in taking on this role: Previous experience with game development, story development/writing Time commitment Approximately 5-10 hours / week. Responsibilities The Carboncopies Foundation needs game developers for designing the game mechanics and systems for our upcoming Open-Source WBE video game As a Game Designer, you are responsible for following responsibilities/tasks: Managing game development team Working with team to develop story/renderer/levels/models, etc. Designing game mechanics, and Documenting work Attending regular meetings several times per week Presenting updates Qualification The following qualifications and/or experience aren’t required but would be helpful for you in taking on this role and you should have a keen interest in learning.
