Enjoy a fulfilling volunteer experience by providing companionship and socialization for patients or short-term respite for caregivers. Reminiscing, watching TV, playing music or just being present with a patient provides meaningful experiences for both the volunteer and patient. Caregivers need breaks for appointments, running errands or just to have lunch with a friend. Veteran-to-veteran and other specialty volunteers are welcome - music or art therapy, crafts, life review recording, pet therapy, spiritual support, beautician & barber services. Days and times are flexible and comprehensive training is provided. Volunteers needed throughout Fayetteville and Peachtree City.

Are you a veteran who would like to support another veteran at an important time in their life? There's no better way to do that than by visiting with veteran hospice patients and listening to their stories, "talking shop", or just being present with them. You can also assist with pinning ceremonies as well as Quilt of Valor applications and presentations. This is a such a rewarding way to show support and respect to fellow veterans in our community. We serve veterans in Coweta, Fayette, Troup, Heard and surrounding counties.

To become a volunteer, all you need is a compassionate heart. Our volunteer training will teach you everything you need to know to be a companion for someone during their end-of-life journey. You’ll learn valuable skills in grief counseling, spiritual and emotional support, and end-of-life care.
