This may be a personal residence, nursing facility, assisted living, hospital while inpatient, or even one of the beautiful hospice houses we share in the Tulsa Metro. This position offers respite relief for caregivers and emotional support to the patients and their family members.

This volunteer is someone who wants to partner with our patients who reside in facilities. This can be an Independent living facility, Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing (Long term care) facility. The volunteer who fills this role often will accompany their patient to activities such as bingo, arts and crafts, music therapy, wine and dine events etc all while remaining in the facility for the duration of the activity. This type of involvement engages the patient and provides the additional support they may need to remain active when they might otherwise not participate.

We are looking for certified pet therapy animals and their loving owners who would like to assist our patients with visitation on a routine basis! Fur babies bring the biggest smiles and provide the right kind of enrichment to anyone and everyone at the most perfect times when nothing else seems to help. We also could use pet lovers who would help care for pets (walking, grooming) that don't get as much attention from their owners in hospice.
