A "Bedside Vigil" volunteer is filled by special people who sit at the bedside to support a patient as they transition through the active stages of dying. Often they are a mutual support for family members as well. This position allows the family member the peace of mind that their loved one is not alone during this difficult time while allowing the patient a sense of presence that might not otherwise be available. Kindful Hospice will provide thorough training and volunteer support.
