Stroudwater Food Pantry Donations Manager The Stroudwater Food Pantry (SFP) is a 501 c3 100% volunteer run organization that distributes fresh produce, dairy, meats and non-perishable foods to hungry families throughout Southern Maine. Since 2015 we have experienced significant growth--distributing over 600 tons worth of food since opening our doors to the public. As such, our operations and need for volunteers has also grown. We are now seeking a volunteer Donations Manager to manage SFP Food Drives and other responsibilities outlined below. For the majority of the time, this will be a work-from-home position. Main Responsibilities: Food Drives: Own the relationship with Community Partners who have conducted food drives in previous years, and encourage them to conduct a food drive in the current year. Coordinate Food Drives with Community Partners and SFP Director by corresponding back and forth to set up their drive dates, location info, contact person for the drive and if they will be dropping off the food to us or scheduling a date for our Director to pick up (their drop off is preferred). Provide Marketing Manager with all details needed to create posters for drive. Schedule time for Community Partner to pick up posters and boxes ahead of the drive from our Pantry. Manage SFP Donations Gmail Account to communicate with Community Partners. All donations and food drive inquiries will be forwarded from the Communications Manager who runs the main SFP Gmail account, to the new donations gmail address. This will be the only use for this Donations Gmail account. All other correspondence will be conducted by the Communications Manager through the main SFP Gmail account. Annual SFP Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner Drive: With the Director and other board members, help coordinate the annual SFP Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner Drive; this includes communications and interactions with our church congregations and with Community Partners who support our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner efforts. Gift Card Donations: Coordinate Gift Card donations with Community Partners and SFP Director by applying for gift card grants, and correspond regarding progress and awards. Coordinate Grant Applications: Research financial grants that are available and relevant to SFP. Coordinate grant opportunities with the Good Shepherd Food Bank. Discuss opportunities with the Pantry Management Board (PMB) and collaborate with the Director and Treasurer on grant applications and their administration. Monthly Board Meetings: Attend Monthly Board Meetings and report on activities throughout the month. (This position will not be a voting board position) Thank You Letters: Work with the Treasurer to write Thank You letters to donors when necessary. Media: Take photos/videos of Food Drive, Gift Card and Financial Donation events. Volunteer: This candidate will volunteer in the pantry (Fridays or Sundays) at least four times a year (quarterly). We’d encourage more often if you’re able, to stay connected to the board and volunteers! As stated we are a 100% volunteer organization and as such this position is unpaid. If you want to join our SFP team and help fight hunger in Southern Maine, please reach out! Must have previous experience with Gmail, and a computer with access to wifi. Serious inquiries only; email StroudwaterFoodPantry@gmail.com to apply. We look forward to hearing from you!
