Save to Favorites

Stroudwater Food Pantry

Currently we are seeking volunteers with access to an SUV or a car with a large trunk to help us with our Friday morning supermarket pickups. Food is picked up from one of our local participating supermarkets and delivered back to our pantry at 1520 Westbrook St. for sorting and organizing. Timing is typically around 8-11am. Please contact our director, Doug, at stroudwaterfoodpantry@gmail.com or call 207-200-5985 if you are able to volunteer.

The Stroudwater Food Pantry (SFP) is a registered hunger relief agency with the Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine. Our mission is to feed those who are hungry and to reduce the number of meal insecure within the Greater Portland Community. In 2018 SFP distributed 65 tons of groceries to families in need. We appreciate your support of our hunger relief efforts. Visit www.StroudwaterFoodPantry.com to learn more.

About Stroudwater Food Pantry

Mission Statement

To do the work of Jesus by feeding those in need, and reducing the number of food insecure within the Greater Portland Community. "For I was hungry and you fed me..."

Stroudwater Food Pantry (SFP) services the Greater Portland Community by providing fresh meat, dairy and produce to those in need.

Thanks to our generous volunteers and supporters, we have been able to fill the fresh produce gap for our clients on a weekly basis (see our blog at www.StroudwaterFoodPantry.com/blog for our weekly pantry reports and check us out on Facebook for regular updates at facebook.com/stroudwaterfoodpantry).

In 2017, SFP distributed 53 tons of groceries to families in need-the equivalent of an estimated 265,000 meals.

We welcome donations of any amount, which we will use to purchase much needed dry staples for the pantry (such as peanut butter, pasta, tuna fish, spaghetti sauce, soup and cereal).

If you would like to learn more about pantry operations, donations, or volunteering please contact our director, Doug, at Stroudwaterfoodpantry@gmail.com or call 207-200-5985.
