Our Disaster Workforce Engagement position is responsible for tasks assigned by the Disaster Workforce Engagement Team program lead. Projects will be assigned according to the area of interest. This means that you will have the opportunity to gain experience with onboarding/placement, deployment, training, scheduling volunteers, recognition and appreciation, and much more. You will be a vital part in supporting the regional disaster workforce through readiness activities. Our disaster response team volunteers respond day and night to meet the immediate needs of their neighbors. Our help may include financial assistance for food, clothing and lodging, emotional support, replacing prescription medications and other critically needed items. The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
