Campaign Data Manager(intermittently ~ 2 to 5 hours per week) A Faith That Does Justice (AFTDJ) is an interfaith organization that challenges people to experience God by living their faith intentionally in service to others. We do this by showing how unjust societal structures marginalize people and by acting to help those in need. Our vision is people intentionally living their faith in action. The Campaign Data Manager is responsible for engaging with other volunteers assisting with Fundraising Campaigns led by the AFTDJ Director of Advancement, with Community Outreach Campaigns led by the Director of Community Engagement, with Event Promotion led by the Director of Events, and with Volunteer Recruitment Campaigns led by the Director of Volunteers. Campaigns are carried out by volunteer callers who contact current and prospective AFTDJ followers by email and phone for fundraising, community outreach, and volunteer recruitment. The Campaign Data Manager will develop contact plans and assignments, follow up on campaign progress and record contact results. The Campaign Data Manager’s role is intermittent because campaigns create the need for the Manager’s efforts. In total, there are about 9 campaigns per year. Key requirements: Good communication skills Ability to work in collaborative manner and to motivate others Knowledge of and experience with Excel Experience with Salesforce is desirable but not essential

Who are we seeking A Faith That Does Justice is seeking volunteer Teacher Assistants who are committed to helping speakers of other languages learn English. They will teach students to communicate in English with those they encounter in daily living and to use their acquired language to improve their employment opportunities. Why teach English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)? Use teaching to serve social justice and build your own teaching skills. Help adult learners in vulnerable populations develop the language skills needed to obtain employment and to live successfully in this country. Through its interfaith mission to foster meaningful relationships and build solidarity with immigrants, the ESOL program of A Faith That Does Justice creates an expanded community network for teachers as well as students. Course Description 15 weeks long, two days of 2-hour sessions per week Class sessions occur on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm ET to 8:30pm ET or Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30am ET to 11:30am ET Classes are virtual using Zoom Approximately 10 students grouped by proficiency levels (Beginner & Intermediate) Students are adults Teachers are supported by ESOL Student Relationship Managers (mentors) Teacher Assistant Commitment and Expectations Provide class session assistance to the ESOL Teacher one or two days per week for the entire 15-week cycle Be present and prepared for all sessions Be able to effectively host a Zoom meeting and to use Zoom controls such as chat, screen sharing, break out rooms, etc. Is this right for me? Teacher Assistants should speak English as a native but do not need to be bilingual as classes are taught in English. Prior teaching experience is a plus. We seek Teacher Assistants who are patient, engaging and dedicated to the mission of empowerment through education. Training is available to refresh or teach some technical skills. AFTDJ is an interfaith program; members of all faiths and beliefs are welcome as both students and teachers and teacher assistants.

The Director of Advancement is responsible for formulating and executing the strategy that will enable AFTDJ to fulfill its mission and to achieve its aspiration. Promoting AFTDJ to its stakeholders including followers, volunteers, donors, funders and other social service organizations is the essence of the Director of Advancement’s role. The increasing reach of AFTDJ and its growing funds from philanthropy and grants are the principal measures of success of the Director of Advancement’s efforts. The Director of Advancement will work closely with the AFTDJ Director of Operations, the Founder and Executive Director, the Director of Community Engagement and the Public Relations Consultant in carrying out her responsibilities. The Director of Advancement will provide leadership and oversight to other AFTDJ volunteers engaged in advancement efforts. A Phone Caller for AFTDJ may be asked at different times to call our followers, people that we serve, organizations that we collaborate with and donors. The purpose of the calls varies but may include calls to inform people about upcoming events and programs, to ask for their assistance in promoting those programs, to seek other volunteers, to seek assistance from collaborating organizations on a specific project, and to seek financial contributions from prospective donors. On each assignment, a phone caller will utilize an AFTDJ script or talking points and a call list with contact information. We welcome multilingual callers. Duties and responsibilities: Delivering scripted talks that describe the purpose of the call Being a good listener, having empathy, treating each call individually and focusing on the other party Persuading the other party to act consistent with the purpose of the call Explaining the AFTDJ mission and vision Describing AFTDJ programs Answering questions about AFTDJ or referring questions to others in AFTDJ Obtaining the other party’s contact information such as name and address Recording highlights of the interaction with other parties, results of the call and requests from the other party Following up assigned calls that have not yet been completed
