It's your choice, as a Office/Administrative Volunteer we provide the opportunity to volunteer in one of our three offices, Forth Worth, Dallas or McKinney, Texas. We are looking for individuals such as you to utilize your talents behind the scenes at a local office. You’ll be part of a team founded on compassion, integrity and excellence. Individuals experiencing their final journey of life enjoy reminiscing about the pets they loved during their lifetime. This opportunity provides these individuals the opportunity to experience the love and enjoyment of having a pet come to where they live to visit with them. Our Pet Companion Volunteers utilize their own certified therapy pets for these visits. These pet visits most often allow the individual to set aside if only for a short while the fact that they may be in their final journey of life.

Our Fort Worth, Texas Compassus office has many opportunities for those with caring hearts and full of compassion to visit with individuals that may be experiencing their final journey of life. These volunteers find it very gratifying to know that they have been honored by the patient and/or family to visit with them when possible. As a patient companion volunteer you set your own visit times unless specified in the request. You make visits on your time frame and share with those needing a caring heart. Compassus Hospice in Fort Worth TX is seeking a volunteer to assist our Music Therapist. Musical ability is not required but could be helpful. Our Angel Watch Volunteers are non-medical Volunteers trained to provide emotional support to the patient and caregiver during their last hours of life. Angel Watch Volunteers may be asked to sit with a patient during daytime hours, evenings, or on weekends. Volunteers rotate service/shifts to provide a team approach for support. Every effort is made to provide support until death occurs. We invite you to become one of our Angels and give the gift of compassionate presence.
