Mission Statement
To provide for the health, inspiration and education of the people of California by helping to preserve the state's extraordinary biological diversity, protecting its most valued natural and cultural resources, and creating opportunities for high quality outdoor recreation.
Description
Our state park emphasizes and interprets Monterey's extraordinary history for all visitors to the area. Volunteers support our park by assisting with school programs, living history events, and interpretive activities. We have been recognized locally and statewide as a valuable member of the community for our educational programs that provides transportation scholarships to underfunded schools to bus students to our history field trips. Additionally, volunteers work in our non-profit gift shop that funds these efforts.
