Salesforce admin/ computer data entry expertise to capture volunteer data in the system. Collecting volunteer information, availability, and skills, and maintaining an up-to-date database. Using marketing tools such as outreach programs, e-mails, and volunteer databases. Keeping new and existing volunteers informed about the organization and volunteer opportunities. Matching volunteers to opportunities that suit their skill sets, and ensuring they understand their responsibilities and receive the proper training. Organizing training and leading on-the-job training. Keeping schedules and records of volunteers' work. Work Experience, Skills and Knowledge, Person Passion for community development and human services Previous experience of an administrative role is an asset Previous work in a nonprofit organization preferred but not required Problem-solving capabilities, strong organizational and time management skills High degree of computer literacy Research skills preferred but not required Good interpersonal skills, Personable and enthusiastic Interested in learning and developing new skills Able to show initiative and work without close supervision Good attention to detail Proactive, resourceful and organized Sensitive and diplomatic Strong team player and collaborative working style Reliable and flexible and willing to take on a range of tasks

Main duties and responsibilities: To prepare a mentoring plan description of the expectations of both the mentor and the mentees ; To work in collaboration with the case manager to help facilitate the processing of cases and follow-up; To educate family members on the basics of the American culture; To initiate parents on proper parenthood and children on how they should relate to their parents; To help the families read and answer messages on their mobile phones or in their regular emails from Job and Family Services and other public sources; To help families get skills on how to use specific home appliances; To help families access essential services such as health care and shopping centers To identify, document uncommon problems and make a referral to appropriate levels for case management and do a follow-up on the same; To prepare a concise progressive report to the Program Manager
