At Northwest Neighbors Network (NNN), our Volunteers serve seniors in Southern Snohomish and North King County with ¨good neighborly¨ tasks like offering rides, shopping, running errands, helping at home, taking out the garbage, shopping, helping with technology support, social visits, walking and more. 10 ways you could support seniors from home! Board Member ; Social Activities Committee Chair ; step into a leadership role with an already well-oiled machine of a team, currently holding regular meetings, hosting events, managing the NNN events calendar and successfully planning our summer event. The team is looking for somebody to represent them at the board level, reporting on activities and supporting administrative duties and communications as needed. Volunteer Onboarding Support : reference checking & volunteer phone interviews Member Outreach Support: assign members to check-in volunteers, providing contact and other relevant information and record check-in results. Services Coordinator: volunteer from home, answering phone calls on a shared Google Voice app and emails through a shared email from our members and volunteers. Create, edit and review "Services" on our platform with/for our members. Encourage and look out for services for volunteers that wish to be contacted about urgent requests. Social Media Contributor/Manager : create and/or collaborate on content and post on FB (and instagram if possible) to recruit volunteers, and for general branding purposes and occasional fundraising campaigns. Nextdoor Coordinator : coordinate and organize posting initiatives with other volunteers that use Nextdoor in a variety of cities. Fundraising support: variety of opportunities, including researching local small business funding opportunities, grant research, grant writing, making phone calls to donors, selling sponsorships, fundraising events planning and much more. Newsletter editor/content coordinator: utilize an existing template or create a new template for NNN monthly newsletters, source member profile content and writers, coordinate with other contributors and do the final editing and publishing through our website platform. Community Resources for Members : coordinate a list of volunteers and organizations/companies to research on behalf and for the benefit of our membership, maintain and add to the list of organizations or companies, coordinate volunteer assignments, and maintain all results in a centralized location/Google Drive. (not exactly behind the scenes but still a need...) Back-up Driving Team: we are looking for transportation volunteers to join our small but mighty team of backup/quick-response drivers who map out a week in advance the drives they can cover if no volunteer can do them; and also might be available for last-minute service requests to run by a pharmacy or other critical errands. All of these opportunites can be performed from home, for the most part. Training will be offered. Please contact danie@northwestneighborsnetwork.org with questions.

Are you looking to give back to the community? Do you have expertise in a particular area that you want to share with a growing nonprofit that helps seniors lead better quality lives? We could use your help! The Opportunity: Northwest Neighbors Network is creating an advisory council to help support our growing organization on a variety of topics. Advisory Council We are looking for volunteer experts to advise the NNN board in the following areas: Marketing, Development/Fundraising, Community Outreach, legal, human resources, insurance, healthcare, senior living, finance, program development and evaluation, or low-income populations. This would be a two-year term, and you would serve as a valuable resource on any issues that arise. NNN would contact you no more than 4-5 times a year. Your expertise would be much appreciated as we grow and expand our service areas. About Northwest Neighbors Network NNN’s mission is to help seniors age well in their own homes by providing services and events. NNN is one of several hundred virtual villages across the U.S. that help seniors age well in their own homes by providing volunteer services and events. NNN serves residents in north King County (Shoreline and Lake Forest Park) and south Snohomish County (Edmonds, Brier, Woodway, Lynnwood, and Mountlake Terrace). As a volunteer-run organization, NNN’s volunteers really are the backbone of our organization!
