1. Mentor: Meet with client weekly. Friend: encourage, motivate, support, advise, and listen! 2. Children's Program: Facilitate activities that accompany financial literacy, character development, and job/life readiness skills. (events held Tuesday evenings and one Thursday a month) 3. Childcare: Watch and hold babies and toddlers. (events held Tuesday evenings and on Thursday a month) Ripple of One empowers families to transition beyond government assistance and into financial freedom and their full God-given potential. We facilitate this complete lifestyle change through financial incentives (i.e. $75 gift card for meeting budget), matched savings 100%, internships, and MENTORSHIP. We believe genuine relationships nurture the support necessary for the parent to evolve into who they want to be. You don't have to be a therapist or financial guru to volunteer- just have a heart to serve, an open mind, and a desire to make a lasting difference! You will join a team to rally around, brainstorm, and encourage your family. We provide training for each volunteer position! We invite you to join us for a volunteer orientation held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month to learn more!

Ripple of One EMPOWERS families to transition off of government assistance and into financial independence and their full God-given potential. We do this through financial incentives (for accomplishing goals), financial education and accountability, internships, and MENTORSHIP. Do you have a heart for genuine relationships? Want to enter a 2-year friendship with a parent that is trying to regain control of their life? Join our support TEAM to encourage a family to make healthier and wiser decisions. Many wonder if they are qualified to be a mentor. We believe God qualifies the called, as opposed to calling the qualified. If you are healthy yourself and are a good friend/ parent, then you can mentor! You will be asked to spend at least one hour a week with your client. This can be helping with laundry, a walk in the park, attending their kid's choral concert, whatever interests you share! We meet as a team with their financial coach to set short and long-term goals throughout their time in our program. You are their cheerleader, advocate, advisor, FRIEND, listening ear, motivator, etc. Training will be provided.

Do you have a passion for kids? AND want to break a cycle of generational poverty? While their parents are exercising or learning about nutrition, our Lil' Ripplers are in our "Money Matters- and So Do You" program! **We currently NEED an instructor to deliver our Money Matters curriculum! :) Help rock our babies, facilitate free play with our toddlers, lead prepared activites with our elementary-aged kids OR teach a lesson on financial literacy/ character development from our curriculum, or lead a conversation with our youth (pre-teens+) about current events, education, careers, financial preparation, and character development. Our event runs every Monday from 5:30-6:30 so we ask that volunteers get here 30 minutes early and stay 15 minutes until the kids are picked up by their parents (on-site.) Training will be provided!
