Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide abandoned, abused, and stray animals with a place of comfort, safety, and health and ultimately find them loving, responsible, permanent homes. We specialize in helping animals that have no advocate, those that have been abandoned on the streets or who have been abused. Secondly, we seek to reduce the population of unwanted companion animals by arranging for their spay/neutering prior to their adoption. Finally, we seek to provide information to the public on how to better provide for and enjoy their companion animals.
Description
We are a no-kill cat shelter and sanctuary in Albany, NY. We are in our 35th year of rescuing abandoned and abused cats in the Capital Region.

I loved this place. I even recommended to others. Coming to Whiskers once a week was the highlight of my week. So many lovable furbabies with such interesting (and sad) stories. I had to move, which is the only reason I’m no longer there, but I would continue to recommend this place to volunteer to and adopt from.
