We are seeking an energetic, organized, and creative Event Coordinator to join our team. This position provides support in all aspects of events, both internal and external, such as Brand Promotions, Networking and community events. Responsibilities include but are not limited to responding to inquiries, administrative tasks, event logistics, marketing, coordination, and travel management. About the Deliverance Charities: Deliverance Charities is a U.S.- based nonprofit organization dedicated to influencing and encouraging people and families living in poverty by focusing on their financial well-being. Start Date: Immediate Reports to: Resource Development Manager Location: Primarily remote . While it’s expected that most work can be completed remotely, there may be occasions where in-person meetings and networking events may take place. Still optional to attend. The organization is based in South Florida, but the scope of its programming and services is generally the entire state. Responsibilities: Creates an annual calendar and obtains approval for all planned events and programs, venue selections including approved spending limits. Oversees all logistics related to assigned events, including supervision of vendors, contractors and other departments as it relates to specific programs and activities. Prepares all records, including use agreements (contracts); vendor forms; composes correspondence, including all information for residents and vendors. Initiates, reviews, and finalizes contract for event services. Coordinates and arranges appropriate facilities, labor, equipment and material in the set up and break down of event logistics. Manages and maintains event budget, prepares and provides reports. Trains and supervises special events staff including volunteers and department personnel, as well as other designated employees. Ensures roles and responsibilities are clearly communicated and understood, as well as the accountability for meeting goals and objectives. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: At least 2-3 years of events-related experience required in event planning and coordination Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines Very strong interpersonal skills; must be a "people person" Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills Ability to work in a flexible and digital work environment Ability to negotiate contracts and manage budgets Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficient in Google Cloud Based Apps, with the ability to learn and master new software applications Proven ability to work successfully as a team member, and to build and maintain a positive work environment Versed in social media and other communication platforms Ability to travel throughout tri-county area Work Environment: Our team is collaborative and supportive, using tools Google Gmail, Chat and Space to stay connected and work efficiently. Job Type: This is a volunteer and remote position. Volunteer contract only for a year. Schedule: Self-determined schedule but need updates monthly. At least 2 hours a week, anything more is appreciated Updates should be submitted via email. Next Growth and Advanced: Based on anticipated capacity funding and job performance, an offer for Event Manager with a full-time salary may be available. Criteria for promotion include consistent updates of grants, meeting deadlines, and actively contributing to team projects. The Sponsorship Coordinator will be responsible for securing sponsorships from various sources to support the organization's initiatives. This role involves identifying and cultivating relationships with potential sponsors, negotiating sponsorship agreements, and ensuring fulfillment of sponsorship benefits. The Sponsorship Coordinator will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to develop sponsorship packages that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Responsibilities: Research and identify potential sponsorship opportunities Develop and implement strategies to secure sponsorships Create customized sponsorship proposals and packages Negotiate sponsorship agreements and contracts Ensure fulfillment of sponsorship benefits Build and maintain relationships with sponsors Collaborate with internal teams to align sponsorship packages with marketing initiatives Track and report on sponsorship revenue and performance Requirements: 2 years minimum experience as an Event Coordinator or similar role. Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, social media, and multitasking skills. Creativity and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Google Cloud Based Apps Degree in Marketing, Communication, Event Management, Non-Profit Management, or related field (preferred). Flexibility to work evenings and weekend if needed to ensure a consistent presence at events. Fast Learner and Multi-Tasker: Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new concepts and efficiently manage multiple tasks concurrently. Technology Knowledge (a Plus): Familiarity with various technologies is advantageous, enhancing your ability to adapt to our dynamic work environment. Self-Driven: Proven track record of proactive decision-making and work performance. Experienced: A professional capable of contributing valuable insights and strategies. Independent: Capable of working autonomously while still being a collaborative team player. Detail-Oriented: A professional with a meticulous approach to tasks. Deadline-Oriented: Consistent adherence to deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects. Prioritization Skills: Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage workloads efficiently.
