Mission Statement

"Because Every Day Matters" These are more than just words. It's the belief that we matter each day of our lives, and it's the philosophy of care provided to our patients. We are all on the journey of life, and at Good Samaritan Hospice, we embrace our patients and share in their journeys. It's about connecting. It's about sharing. It's about quality end-of-life care. "Because Every Day Matters"

Good Samaritan Hospice provides compassionate, individualized care for people facing a life-limiting illness and their families. Patients living at home, in nursing homes, or the home-like settings of our three in-patient centers in Wexford, Cabot or Heritage Valley in Beaver, are cared for by family and loved ones with the support of hospice staff and volunteers.

People with terminal illness and those close to them have special physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical needs. Volunteers play a vital role in meeting those needs, allowing patients to live their lives as fully and comfortably as possible. Volunteers add a personal touch which assists patients and families at one of the most crucial steps in life's journey.

Would you recommend Good Samaritan Hospice?

My family and I have used their services in the past when my granny was dying of cancer. You have the choice to have nurses come into your home or go to the hospice center to pass. We had both. The hospice center looks like a beautiful bed and breakfast, inside and out. There is nothing medical about the place. My family and I even spent the night there so we could be with my granny. All the nurses were great!!! So nice and sweet. They helped us so much, and we didn't have to pay for a thing!!
