VOLUNTEERING WITH ACRO-TANZANIA

ACRO invites volunteers from any part of the world to come and join us yearly in our community development initiatives to break life cycle of poverty. We prefer volunteers who will work with us on short term basis like 1 month to three months only. Your experience is part of our experience.

We have programmes such as school greening in which we are engaged in tree planting with school children in school compounds and in other community places. In addition, we also have greenhouse project for supporting widows in rural areas. This project involves training and demonstration actions to widows on how practice organic agriculture in greenhouses. Finally, we are also promoting acquaculture to community groups aiming at improving household living stadards through income gain.

Description

Africana Community Rehabilitation Organization (ACRO) is a non profit organization which is based in Tanzania. It was founded in 2007 with the aim of improving the lives of community people through the knowledge and skills gained from our various programmes established by ACRO.

ACRO works in the area of environmental conservation and aquaculture promotion to community people.

Projects which are run at present include nutritional support to orphans and vulnerable children through integrated fish farming, women group fish farming, compost teaching to primary school children and ecological training to primary school kids.
