Volunteer to survey Rouge area wetlands for frogs and toads. Surveys are done independently on damp warm evenings by listening for the calls. Results are mapped and provided to communities. Attend two trainings held virtually in February via Zoom.

To restore, protect, and enhance the Rouge River watershed through stewardship, education, and collaboration.
Description
Friends of the Rouge is an environmental non-profit organization that has been promoting stewardship of the Rouge River watershed for over 15 years. We run a large environmental education program for schools within the Rouge watershed. We also coordinate a variety of projects for volunteers, adult and youth, individuals and groups. These activities include monitoring environmental quality, neighborhood-based environmental education and pollution prevention, stream cleanups and many other environmental restoration/preservation activities.
