Volunteers are needed for Street Outreach program in Fort Collins. Volunteers will work in teams of two and visit homeless individuals at public locations. Volunteers will:
- Develop personal relationships and trust with homeless individuals on the street.
- Provide emergency products (e.g. blankets, coats, sleeping bags, first aid supplies, nonperishable food, etc.)
- Connect homeless to resources and information
- Help homeless navigate the system as they work to get off the streets.
- Gather real-world statistics
- Work independent from, but in cooperation with, police and fort collins rangers
- Serve as liaisons between Businesses, Associations, and other Agencies and the Homeless
- Long-Term goal to connect homeless with housing.

Description
The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Volunteers of America provides volunteer opportunities for individuals 55 years and older to use their skills, insight and lifetime experiences to assist residents and non-profit agencies in the county. RSVP also offers a variety of programs which provide services and enhance the quality of life for seniors.
