Heartland Hospice is looking for office volunteers. Do you want to gain experience in an office setting? Looking to sharpen your skills and strengthen your resume? Or maybe you just have some extra time on your hands and enjoy clerical/administrative tasks and projects. Whatever the case may be, you can help! Our office volunteers have a significant impact on our agency by assisting with various clerical tasks to allow our staff more time to provide direct care to our hospice patients and their families.
Needs for office volunteers include, but are not limited to: assisting with filing, mailings, data entry, packet-making, etc. Good organizational skills, a sense of professionalism, and the ability to work independently is a plus for this volunteer role! Also, those who are competent in their computer skills may have the chance to work on special projects, such as posters/flyers and various resource or marketing materials for the Heartland Volunteer Program.
If this sounds like the right fit for you, call or email ProMedica Volunteer Coordinator Taylor King today to learn more about our unique volunteer opportunities: 815-397-3691; Taylor.King@heartlandhospice.com. We're waiting to hear from you! Office Volunteer requirements: must be at least 16 years of age; agree to a background/reference check; have reliable transportation; and attend an orientation where you'll learn about the philosophy of hospice, our company, and the volunteer role.

- Helping with office support tasks at the agency
- Running errands for patients and families
- Staying with patients so family members can get a much-needed rest
- Reading, or providing a comforting touch
- Playing or singing soothing music to patients
- Keeping vigil with patients in their final hours
These and other tasks are why hospice volunteers are such an essential part of the Heartland experience.
