As a Meals on Wheels volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.
We are in need of a volunteer to cover when our Volunteer Site Coordinator will be away. Availability as needed on Mondays, 9 am -2 pm, and Thursday mornings. Responsibilities include calling participants for their order on Mondays and preparing for our volunteers that deliver meals Thursday mornings. Training for this position is provided.
Qualifications: Keen on accuracy, a sense of humor, and a commitment to the well-being of homebound seniors.
Requirements: Complete an application. Consent to a background check. Be able to lift 15lbs. Be at least 24 years of age or better. Have a Washington State driver’s license and auto insurance. This is an ongoing commitment.

Sound Generations, established in 1967, is Washington State's most comprehensive non-profit organization that supports people on their aging journey through community connections and accessible services. Established in 1967, we support almost 54,000 older adults, disabled persons, and those who care for them annually in King County.
Description
Our eleven programs operating throughout numerous community and senior center sites are constantly striving to expand the provision of food security, transportation, health & wellness, and assistance services to under served and marginalized populations. We are committed to helping all people, especially those in low-income communities and communities of color, obtain the services they need while feeling included and respected in a community that affirms aging.

Our services, and volunteer opportunities, are located at multiple sites throughout King County.
