Mission Statement

Actively partnering to create a healthier community. We envision NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center as a highly desirable place for healthcare: Where people of all traditions receive culturally-appropriate human services and clinical health care. Where best practices of prevention, primary care, and complimentary care are infused into an integrated health and human services approach. Where an emphasis on teaching and supporting healthy lifestyle choices weaves NorthPoint into the total fabric of the community. Health education, proper nutrition, and self-reliance are promoted in appealing ways. Service expands beyond the original facility walls and is provided to teens, and single adults, as well as to families. Where the welcoming and caring atmosphere created by the professional health care staff, clinic staff, and human services staff and volunteers exceed patient and client expectations for expertise and adaptability.

Description

NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center is a comprehensive health and human services agency located in the heart of North Minneapolis. NorthPoint is comprised of two organizations: a community services nonprofit with a broad array of social and human services (NorthPoint Inc.); and a full service community health center (NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center) that includes medical, dental and behavioral health clinics. NorthPoint seeks to reduce health disparities, improve health outcomes, and enhance the overall quality of life for all residents of North Minneapolis by providing high quality medical, dental and behavioral health care, along with integrated social services such as its food shelf, housing resources and domestic violence services -- with respect, dignity and sensitivity to a culturally rich and ethnically diverse community.
