Annual Dog Walk at Hermann Park

Volunteers are needed to help with the annual "The Dog Walk" benefiting Hermann Park Conservancy and presented by the Houston Rockets. The Dog Walk will take place on Saturday, November 6th from 7 a.m. to 10:30am, approximately.

The Dog Walk will feature a picturesque walk around McGovern Lake and the Jones Reflection Pool located within the heart of Hermann Park. Volunteers are needed to help along the course and at the post-race party. The Rockets after-party at Lake Plaza will have various vendors, goodies and prizes for owners and doggies alike.

As volunteers we will not be participating in the actual walk; we will be helping in areas around the track making sure the track is clear, water is available, and cheering the walkers along the way! The Dog Walk is a fundraiser for people who register (pay an entry fee) their dogs to participate in the walk around the track. If volunteers bring their dog to the park, please have someone else watch your pet on a leash while you volunteer. There will be about 400 people that have registered to walk their dog around the track.
