ORGANIZATION: Volunteers of America Northern Colorado Services

We are currently helping people throughout Larimer County! With the rapidly growing senior population, the amount of seniors who face losing their independent lifestyles continues to grow. Your work helps seniors to keep living independently by taking on tasks that they physically are not able to do.

Our primary projects right now are installing grab bars and building wheelchair ramps. These projects help prevent those who are physically disabled and seniors in your local community from increased risks of falls and injuries as well as making their lives a little easier. Guys and gals do not need expertise in these roles or need to have equipment/tools. Training is provided. Anyone who wants to help can learn to do so.

Volunteering for the Handyman (Handy-person) Program is a great way to help your local community and truly make a difference!

Description

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Volunteers of America provides volunteer opportunities for individuals 55 years and older to use their skills, insight and lifetime experiences to assist residents and non-profit agencies in the county. RSVP also offers a variety of programs which provide services and enhance the quality of life for seniors.
