**We have currently Paused our Volunteer Program. Please reach out to find out ways that you can still help our families that are currently staying in our Ronald McDonald House.**

A House Volunteer welcomes families to Ronald McDonald House. It may be a warm, friendly smile to a returning family or helping a family settle in for the first time. Other duties include answering phone, registering and checking out families, giving House tours, maintaining a home-like environment and providing support to House Managers. House Volunteers can give three or more hours of time each week. All Volunteers must be of High School age or older, those Volunteers under the age of 18 must have their parent or guardian with them.

House Volunteer options are as follows:

Front Desk (Technology & Customer Service aptitude necessary)
House Warmer (Household tasks/cleaning/organizing)

Description

Ronald McDonald House Charities Wichita provides and supports programs that benefit children. Ronald McDonald House provides affordable, safe, temporary housing, amenities and emotional support for families that have chronically ill, critically ill or injured children while they receive medical care. Ronald McDonald Family Room is a home-like haven inside the hospital just steps away from their hospitalized child providing the families a place to refresh, rest and reflect without leaving their children's side. The Ronald McDonald Grant program awards grants to not-for-profit community programs that directly benefit children and their families.
