Are you looking for a flexible, yet satisying, volunteer experience that requires you to have fun? Tangram, a 501 (c) 3 United Way agency that serves individuals with developmental disabilities, is looking for enthusiastic and outgoing individuals who are interested in being paired with one of our clients to start a friendship. Several pairs are already having fun by exploring Indianapolis and fostering their new friendships! Activities could include going to museums, visiting the State Fair and other seasonal festivals, looking at area holiday decorations, going to sporting events, going shopping, completing hobby projects, etc. Just like any other friendship, you meet up with your new friend 1-2 times a month and keep in touch via phone and e-mail. Set a time to "hang-out" and enjoy all the great activities the city has to offer.

Tangram creates extraordinary lives for persons living with disability...far beyond what most believe is possible. As a United Way 501(c)3 community benefit organization, Tangram helps individuals with disabilities and their families plan, support and sustain ways to live actively and independently within their communities throughout central Indiana.
Our Services
Tangram provides customized support for people with disabilities, realizing that the disability may define some of their challenges, but it does not define or limit their humanity. Tangram partners with our clients as they pursue life, liberty and happiness. Tangram services include:
