About

Share approximately 2 or more hours per week helping in either equine assisted activities (horseback riding lessons) or occupational/physical therapy (Hippotherapy) for people with physical, intellectual or emotional challenges. Classes are typically held Monday and Thursday afternoons, Monday through Thursday evenings, as well as Saturday mornings and afternoons. Volunteer help is needed to groom & tack horses prior to lessons, lead horses or walk alongside riders who may require physical or verbal support during lessons, and untacking and grooming horses following lessons. Volunteer training is provided but not mandatory. No prior experience with special people or horses is needed. Please see website for further information about volunteering with us; www.3gaits.org
