Become an Event Volunteer at TCAN (The Center for Arts in Natick)!

Event Volunteers typically arrive an hour prior to the start time of the event and help prepare the performance space and concession area for guests. You may be asked to greet and seat our patrons as an usher, sell concessions, sell artist merchandise or assist with ticketing or will-call in our box office. Event staff stay for about 30-45 minutes following the show to help clean up the space and common areas, and ready the performance hall for the next show. An orientation and training session is required prior to starting.

Live performances are generally scheduled on weekend evenings, Thursday - Saturday, with a showtime of 8:00pm. Volunteers are invited to attend the performance free of charge, but may be asked to provide service to patrons throughout the performance.

Register for training and orientation using the form on our website here:

About The Center for Arts in Natick

14 Summer Street, Natick, MA 01760, US

Mission Statement

We believe the arts are essential to a complete human experience and to the creation of a vibrant, healthy community. TCAN serves the MetroWest region by increasing opportunities to experience, participate in, and learn about the arts. To this end, TCAN strives to present arts programs of the highest standard that are available to everyone. TCAN dedicates its resources to providing community access to diverse arts programs, reducing barriers to attendance, and building appreciation through arts education.

Located in a historic firehouse in the heart of Natick Center Cultural District, TCAN is the MetroWest region's premier performing arts organization. National touring acts have included Don McLean, The Smithereens, Vanilla Fudge, Shawn Colvin, Paula Poundstone and many others. A recent renovation added a boutique Cinema Room offering first-run feature films and art house fare in an intimate setting. These amenities, and a variety of arts education programs, family events, TCAN Players community theater productions and art exhibitions attract over 30,000 attendees annually.
