Sports History Exhibit Volunteer Docents Needed!

Heritage Museum of Orange County needs volunteer docents as we present Smithsonian's Hometown Teams, an exhibit about local sports teams and their impact on our community! We'll be sharing photos, stories, and information about Japanese-Americans, Mexican-Americans, African-Americans and more in local Orange County sports history. HMOC is the only museum in Southern California that is part of this nation-wide exhibit.

We are looking to train volunteer docents who are willing to learn about the themes of the exhibit and answer questions for guests during museum hours.

The exhibit will open to the public on August 19th and be open through September 30th, 2017. The exhibit will be available for the public to experience from 11 AM to 3 PM Tuesdays through Sundays.

Docent can be trained individually if necessary.

This opportunity can be made into a museum internship opportunity for those that need internship experience or are interested in adding to their resume.
