The Volunteer Coordinator assists with recruitment and training to the programmed classes, facility activities, and special events. This person also maintains administrative and record-keeping functions involved with all volunteers who assist with Queen of Hearts' activities. The Volunteer Coordinator acts as a liaison with staff, volunteers and the community to recognize and promote the Center's volunteer efforts. Additionally, it will be the coordinator's responsibility to recruit, match and train volunteers to the needs of the therapeutic riding program.

We are dedicated to improve the bodies, minds, spirits and quality of life of persons with physical and/or developmental disabilities and/or mental illnesses through equine-assisted activities.
Description
We provide equine-assisted services including teaching horseback riding to adults and children with special needs. We are a PATH Int'l Premier Accredited Center and we use the EAGALA method of equine-assisted psychotherapy and learning. We have adaptive horseback riding equipment to assist those who have difficulty walking and we have a wheelchair-to-horse lift to help transfer riders to horses.
