Do you want to change a life? Have a great time and have the unconditional love of a puppy?
Become a volunteer puppy raiser for Power Paws Assistance Dogs! We'll place a puppy-in-training with you for up to 2 years and teach you to train your puppy in 90 commands. Then this amazing dog will be placed with a child or adult with a disability to empower them for independence!
Our dogs are trained to help with mobility issues, Diabetic Alert, PTSD, and for seeking digital media to help in the fight of Internet Crimes Against Children.
Power Paws is accredited by Assistance Dogs International.

Our mission is to provide highly skilled assistance dogs to people with disabilities, to provide continuing education to working assistance dog teams, and to be a resource in the community for people with disabilities.
Description
Power Paws Assistance Dogs raises, trains and places assistance dogs with people with mobility impairments, Type I Diabetes and PTSD/PTSS. Dogs are trained over a two year period, but each pup serves the community during training in:
- Camps for kids ages 10-17
- Reading, Literacy and Life Skills for at risk Title I students
