Our mission is to provide highly skilled assistance dogs to people with disabilities, to provide continuing education to working assistance dog teams, and to be a resource in the community for people with disabilities.
Power Paws Assistance Dogs raises, trains and places assistance dogs with people with mobility impairments, insulin dependent diabetes and PTSD/PTSS. Dogs are trained over a two year period, but each pup serves the community during training in:
- Camps for kids ages 10-17
- Reading, Literacy and Life Skills for at risk Title I students in schools
- Super Puppy -- Veterans help with the socialization of new pups
