Build financial stability for families by helping them prepare and file their taxes virtually or at one of our Free Tax Prep sites. Tax Training
Not a tax expert? No problem! We provide training (December 5 - January 23 or self study) and on-going support. To be a great volunteer, you just need to be:
- personable and friendly
- willing to ask questions
- comfortable using a computer
- curious about learning new skills
- someone who has high ethical standards
Individuals can volunteer on their own, or as a group by adopting a tax site. Continuing education credits available for Accountants, CPAs and CFAs.
Volunteers can also support this program as site greeters, or Spanish interpreters.

United Way of Greater Cincinnati was founded in 1915. The annual fundraising campaign became a partnership with American Red Cross, Cincinnati Area Chapter, in 1956. Today the organization covers ten counties: Hamilton, Brown, Butler and Clermont in Ohio; Boone, Campbell, Grant, and Kenton in Northern Kentucky; and Dearborn and Ohio counties in Southeast Indiana.
