About

JustREAD/JustMATH provides one-on-one remedial tutoring in literacy and math to elementary, middle, and high school students in Mountain View, CA. We serve students who are struggling to master elementary and middle school math. Our students thrive on the personalized attention to their academic needs, a structured tutoring environment, and the dedication of caring, volunteer tutors.

We plan to serve even more students during the 2018-2019 school year, especially in our 4th & 5th grade remedial math programs at Theuerkauf, Castro and Monta Loma, so are actively looking for additional caring adult volunteers to provide one-on-one tutoring and/or in-classroom tutoring on campus DURING THE SCHOOL DAY.

Tutors receive training and on-going support from a Site Coordinator or teacher in the classroom. Students have individualized lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to their needs. We request a minimum commitment of one hour per week between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

New tutor orientations are held on an ongoing basis and no prior tutoring experience is necessary. Sign up for a New Tutor Orientation here: http://www.justreadcenters.org/JRNew/volunteer/
