ORGANIZATION: Sound Generations

Meals on Wheels in Bellevue has a current opening for a Volunteer to deliver meals on Monday mornings, as needed when one of the weekly drivers will be away. Deliveries start at 9:00 and take about 2 hours. Training is provided, and mileage is reimbursable while making deliveries.

Qualifications: Communication skills, flexibility, attention to detail, accuracy, people skills, good cheer, and a commitment to the well-being of homebound elders.

Requirements: Complete an application, consent to a background check, be able to lift 15lbs, be at least 18 years of age, and have a Washington state driver’s license and auto insurance.

Established in 1967, we support almost 54,000 older adults, disabled persons, and those who care for them annually in King County.

Our eleven programs operating throughout numerous community and senior center sites are constantly striving to expand the provision of food security, transportation, health & wellness, and assistance services to under served and marginalized populations. We are committed to helping all people, especially those in low-income communities and communities of color, obtain the services they need while feeling included and respected in a community that affirms aging.
