St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii, which provides pre- and post-acute care with an emphasis on serving older adults, is seeking qualified volunteers to support the expanding needs of the nonprofit healthcare organization.
St. Francis Hospice, the largest department within the St. Francis Healthcare System, will be conducting a four-session volunteer training program HOSPICE VOLUNTEERS - The next TRAINING BEGINS Wednesday, January 9, 2019 5:00 - 9:00 pm. Applications are available through our website at www.stfrancishawaii.org. A personal interview will be conducted prior to acceptance. 16 hr required training. The first day on Wednesday, January 9th 5:00 -9:00 pm. 2nd day - Saturday, January 12th from 8:30 am - 12:30, 3rd day - Wednesday, January 16th 5:00 - 9:00 pm; last class on Saturday January 19th from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm totalling 16 hours of classroom training. You must attend all 4 classes. All training is held at 2226 Liliha Street, Honolulu 96817. Volunteers will learn about the history, philosophy and role of hospice care, as well as practical skills for their role as volunteers.
