Looking for an opportunity to give back, but can’t commit regularly? The 21 st Annual Walk For Sight is a perfect opportunity for you! Join over 300 Walkers, spectators, and other volunteers on Saturday, May 18, 2024, in Downtown Concord for Future In Sight’s signature event.

EVENT: WALK FOR SIGHT

SERVICE TITLE: Walk Volunteer

PURPOSE: The position of Walk Volunteer supports the Future In Sight’s annual WALK FOR SIGHT. This event raises awareness about vision loss, and raises funds so that blind and visually impaired residents of NH can receive direct services which promote their independence.

LOCATION: NH State House and along Main St., Concord NH 03301

DATE: May 18, 2024, 8:00 am-12 noon RAIN or SHINE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with staff members and other volunteers to assist with greeting, registration, check-in, and to help keep Walkers safe along the 1-mile walk route.

Description

Future In Sight is the only statewide, private, non-profit organization that provides vision rehabilitation services to people of all ages who are blind or have severe visual impairements. Future In Sight carries out its mission by providing counseling and referral, rehabilitation teaching, orientation and mobility instruction, low vision services, assistive technology and volunteer services, as well as educational services for children from birth to adult .
