RESPONSIBILITIES
- Offer water, juice and crackers to patients waiting for appointments in the waiting area.
- Offer to check on status of appointment if notes patient waiting in the waiting area for more than 20 minutes. Staff will assist in identifying patients needing assistance.
- Offer magazines, books, crayons etc to patients and family members waiting in the waiting area for appointments.
- Comply with all infection control and confidentiality policies.
5. Strive to remain compassionate, non-judgmental, flexible and impartial when assisting people who have lifestyles, spiritual beliefs, and interests that are different from your own.
6. Respect the privacy of patients and family members, and abide by the Volunteer Services program's confidentiality policies.
7. Provide excellent customer service to patients, families and staff.

Description
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center will accelerate the development, evaluation, and use of new cancer discoveries and treatments and will offer patients greater access to clinical trials, bringing research and clinical care closer together. For current patients the superior care you have come to expect from us will continue uninterrupted. For example, as part of the transition to Fred Hutch there will be no changes to your doctor or care team. Over the longer term, this update to our structure will enable us to improve patients’ care experiences and increase integration across your care team.
