ORGANIZATION: Como Park Zoo and Conservatory

DUTIES:

Provide friendly service to all visitors to Como Park Zoo and Conservatory grounds and facilities.

Serve as the first point of contact as guests arrive to the zoo and conservatory and the last friendly face they see as they are leaving. Volunteers in this role will answer general questions, solicit the assistance of Visitor Services staff as needed, thank visitors for any donations and create a warm welcoming environment as people arrive. Shift times are approx. 3 hours: 9:45am-1pm, 12:45pm-4pm and April-end of September, we also have a 3:45pm-6pm shift.

Como Park Zoo and Conservatory welcomes 1.7 million visitors from around the world - the second biggest tourist attraction in Minnesota. The Como Park Zoo and Conservatory is open 365 days; 10am-6pm from April-September and 10am-4pm from October -March . Admission to both the Como Zoo and Marjorie McNeely Conservatory is always free and a voluntary donation is appreciated.
