VITAS Healthcare offers this remote volunteer telephone calling opportunity from your home or campus apartment or room. VITAS is looking for caring individuals to share their listening ear, voice and time as ProActive Caller Volunteers to support terminally ill patients and their families. In this program, the Primary Caregiver receives "check-in" phone calls by trained VITAS Volunteers. These calls provide reassurance and ascertain if needs are being met. Excellent opportunity for retirees looking to be engaged with others. Outstanding internship or service opportunity for nursing, pre-med, pastoral care, health administration, or medical students.
