Pre-requisite: Successful completion of the Horse Handler Volunteer Training Class
The Horse Handler Volunteer Program is offered to anyone who would like to assist with general farm chores; and the daily care and training of horses.
Duties include: catching and haltering horses; grooming horses; feeding horses; and training horses.
This program is open to children, ages 9 and above, and adults.
Children, younger than 9, or with special needs, may be eligible after completing an interview to determine their ability to safely participate.
Children, younger than 12, need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, until such time as they demonstrate that they can safely participate without parental supervision.
