This volunteer position is a wonderful opportunity for the volunteer who is 55 years or better and looking to work with children. Foster grandparents work onsite at programs to serve as mentors, tutors and comforters for at risk children including those in Head Start, Educational Preschools, Elementary Schools, and other programs. Foster Grandparents provde emotional support, help develop basic learning skills, tutor in reading and other subjects, assist with and teach self-care, act as a link to the community and another generation, and are postive role models. Volunteer locations are located throughout Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Denver, Jefferson, Larimer and El Paso counties.
