Come find out about being a Local History Docent on Monday, January 25, 6pm to 7:30pm! Refreshments and information will be served. To RSVP for the Open House on the 25th, contact Trish at 503-718-2516 or reply to this posting.

Welcome visitors to the Local History Room and show them available local history resources. Document and forward questions for further research to the local history librarian. Assist with local history projects during quiet periods;

Each project varies in scope and duration. Examples of typical projects include: helping to catalog local history materials; indexing news articles from Library scrapbooks and archived copies of the Tigard Times; indexing local business advertisements from high school yearbooks.
