Rational Animal is seeking a volunteer website administrator o work with us in updating and maintaining our website, rational-animal.org. Our group needs someone who works or has experience in the areas of Network and Server Administration, IT/Web Development, Website design, and Google Ad Words.


We are an energetic, dynamic, dedicated group of people who want to help homeless animals and shelters in New York through media campaigns and many events, including the Gimme Shelter concert, coming up this Fall! To keep up with ever-changing technology, a webmaster is needed to help propel the organization forward. You will work directly with our Executive Director as well as many other volunteers helping us with events, photography, press coverage and releases. In return, you will gain valuable experience working with the city's leading rescue organizations with our fun, diverse group of professionals. This is an opportunity for networking as well as meeting new people and enhancing your skills and experience.

Our volunteers are talented, dedicated media professionals, enthusiastic animal lovers, and dynamic people who want to make a difference for the animals in NYC and beyond. Rational Animal has developed a reputation around the city for its creative, engaging, and popular media events and educational initiatives. We work closely with the Mayor's Alliance for New York City animals as well as local animal-focused media, in addition to the contributions we make to local shelters. We also advocate for and on behalf of all working and wild animals in the city, including carriage horses, circus animals, and animal rescue.

Rational Animal (www.rational-animal.org) is a non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of New York City's homeless animals, working animals, and wildlife by using media to communicate to the public the actions they can take to help animals in their communities.
