DO YOU WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
If you said yes to the question above you would be perfect for this volunteer oppertunity.
TARC (Tulsa Advocates for the Rights of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities)needs volunteers to monitor the quality of life for adults with developmental disabilities statewide for the Oklahoma Advocates Involved in Monitoring (OK-AIM) Program. The OK-AIM program was created by the State of Oklahoma and is administered by TARC to ensure people with developmental disabilities enjoy a high quality of life and receive the best possible state-funded residential services.
HOW YOU ASK:
You would be going into the homes of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to advocate for them. You will have a short visit with the assigned individual and then record the process. This allows TARC to make changes to their living situations if need be. You will be giving a voice to those who may not have one, you will be making a difference.
