The Admissions Volunteer will serve as:
- Customer Service Liaison
- Assist with filing, data entry and other clerical duties.
- Provide staff with project assistance.
- Answer Phones
- Assist with projects and other duties as assigned.
Days: Monday - Friday Shifts: 8:00 - Noon, Noon - 4:00
Requirement for volunteering at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center
- Must live in the Los Angeles Area
- Have a valid social security number.
- Kaiser runs a background check on all volunteers.
- If accepted to the program, must attend:
- Virtual Orientation
- Complete our health screening process.
- Background Check
- Commit to a fixed weekly 4-hour schedule.
- Program Commitments:
- Adults:
- one year commitment and complete 200 hours
- Application: Adult Application (18+)
- Teens (16 - 18 still in high school)
- Complete 2 session of 72 hours each
- Application: Teen Application (16 - 17)
- Volunteer Program Description:
- All volunteers will start in the red vest role:
- The Red Vest Concierge volunteer serves as our frontline customer service support role and serves alongside our LAMC Security Team.
- After doing 8 weeks as an adult in the red vest role or 72 hours as a teen in the red vest role, we will be able to transfer you to a department of your choice.
- Please note: not all departments accept volunteers.

The Volunteer Services Department at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center was established to develop and maintain a caring, compassionate and efficient volunteer staff who offer an extra dimension of care and services to our members and their families without replacing any paid positions throughout the Medical Center campus.
Description
The Los Angeles Medical Center (LAMC) Volunteer Services Department consists of over 800 volunteers, donating thousands of hours in 40 different areas of the hospital, mostly in patient care areas. Kaiser LAMC is the Tertiary Center for all of the So. Cal Kaisers, our specialties include the Heart Center, Stroke Center, Neuro Center and many more. We also are one of three Pediatric Specialty Care Centers for Kaiser Permanente So Cal.
Our volunteers experience a high level opportunity to interact with our members whether it be at the front desk greeting and checking in our members or as a Silver Angel in the nursing units.

- Covid vaccine with proof of booster
- Must live in the Los Angeles Area
- Have a valid social security number.
- Kaiser runs a background check on all volunteers.
- If accepted to the program, must attend:
- Virtual Orientation

- process may take up to 3 to 4 weeks for clearance after interviews.
- Commit to a fixed weekly 4-hour schedule.
- Commit to the programs one-year commitment.
